Ancient Egypt was hit by a series of disasters, and the worst of them is the drought. The Nile, the center of the land of great Ra, is dying, and thousands of people are dying with it. The Pharaoh calls for help to Taita, a sorcerer and soothsayer who can see the invisible-only he can find out why the waters of the mighty river have dried up. Taita embarks on a dangerous and adventurous journey to the end of the world to the source of the Nile, convinced that the cause of the troubles of the Egyptian people lies in evil magic.
