In the early 1920s, Bulgakov consistently creates three novels: "Diaboliad" (1923), "the Fatal eggs" (1924) and "heart of a Dog" (1925). It was immediate and violent reaction on the "Sovietization" of Russia, to the accession of the caste of the "ball".
The story "Diaboliad" and "the Fatal eggs" was published, respectively, in 1924 and 1925, "heart of a Dog" waiting in the wings forty-three years. Bulgakov-satirist continues the traditions of Russian prose of Gogol and Saltykov-Shchedrin. And in his early novels already read the outline for future chapters of "the Master and Margarita".
