V odnoĭ iz knig Aleksandr Etoev skazal o gorode, v kotorom rodilsia: «Zhivia pochti bezvylazno v nëm, ia smenil stolʹko raĭonov, ulits, domov, kvartir, chto gorod, vesʹ, tselikom, stal moim vechnym domom.
In one of the books Alexander Atoev said about the city where you were born: "Living almost forever in it, I changed so many districts, streets, houses, apartments, city, entire, entirely, became my eternal home. Wherever I go, on any bench in any square, garden or sit, everywhere I smile poplars, garden grilles, fountains, urns, even lights, feel in me, local, postwar Leningrad, remember me as a boy, know that this will not draw a swastika or swear word in the alley or on the wall of the house". Hence the second title of the book — "St. Petersburg stories", forgive the author Gogol such outright theft. Someone will ask for sure: and then Egypt, he does something on the cover? Yes, because in those days, which tells the writer, "in Egypt went tram — climbed on the Egyptian bridge, a little hesitated and fell for the house-pyramid."..The collection includes stories and short stories, United by the St. Petersburg theme.
