Непоследние слова

V sovremennoĭ Rossii edva li ne edinstvennym mestom, gde eshchë zvuchit svobodnoe slovo, ostaëtsi͡a kletka v zale suda. Iz neë podsudimye obrashchai͡utsi͡a so svoim poslednim slovom, ispolʹzui͡a ėtu edinstvennui͡u vozmozhnostʹ, chtoby zai͡avitʹ o samom vazhnom. Osuditʹ voĭnu, ne poddatʹsi͡a strakhu, protivostoi͡atʹ lzhi i nasilii͡u, podderzhatʹ drugikh. Poslednie slova - ėto bolʹshe, chem politicheskai͡a deklarat͡sii͡a, bolʹshe, chem svidetelʹstvo lichnogo muzhestva. Imenno oni sozdai͡ut samyĭ pronzitelʹnyĭ portret ėpokhi. Sbornik "Neposlednie slova" - golos svobodnykh li͡udeĭ nesvobodnoĭ strany, nashe lekarstvo protiv strakha, dai͡ushchee nadezhdu na ist͡selenie.

In modern Russia, perhaps the only place where free speech still sounds is the cage in the courtroom. From it, the defendants address their last word, using this single opportunity to state the most important thing. Condemn the war, resist fear, resist lies and violence, and support others. The last words are more than a political declaration, more than a testimony of personal courage. They create the most poignant portrait of the era. The collection "The Last Words" is the voice of free people in an unfree country, our medicine against fear, which gives hope for healing.
