Ненастье

"2008 god. Prostoĭ voditelʹ, byvshiĭ soldat Afganskoĭ voĭny, v odinochku ustraivaet derzkoe ograblenie spet͡sfurgona, kotoryĭ perevozit denʹgi bolʹshogo torgovogo t͡sentra. Tak v millionnom, no zakholustnom gorode Batueve zavershaetsi͡a dolgai͡a istorii͡a moguchego i dei͡atelʹnogo soi͡uza veteranov Afganistana - to li obshchestvennoĭ organizat͡sii, to li biznes-alʹi͡ansa, to li kriminalʹnoĭ gruppirovki: v "likhie devi͡anostye", kogda ėtot soi͡uz obrazovalsi͡a i nabral silu, slozhno bylo otlichitʹ odno ot drugogo. No roman ne pro denʹgi i ne pro kriminal, a pro nenastʹe v dushe. Pro otchai͡annye poiski prichiny, po kotoroĭ chelovek dolzhen doveri͡atʹ cheloveku v mire, gde torzhestvui͡ut tolʹko khishchniki, - no bez doverii͡a zhitʹ nevozmozhno. Roman o tom, chto velichie i otchai͡anʹe imei͡ut odni i te zhe korni. O tom, chto kazhdyĭ iz nas riskuet nenarokom popastʹ v nenastʹe i uzhe ne vyrvatʹsi͡a ottuda nikogda, potomu chto nenastʹe - ėto ubezhishche i lovushka, spasenie i pogibelʹ, velikoe uteshenie i vechnai͡a bolʹ zhizni". "2008. A simple driver, a former soldier of the Afghan war, single-handedly arranges a daring robbery of a special van that transports money to a large shopping center. So in the millionth, but provincial city of Batuev, the long history of a powerful and active union of veterans of Afghanistan is coming to an end - either a public organization, or a business alliance, or a criminal group: in the "dashing nineties", when this union was formed and gained strength, it was difficult to distinguish one from the other. But the novel is not about money and not about crime, but about bad weather in the shower. About the desperate search for a reason why a person should trust a person in a world where only predators triumph — but it is impossible to live without trust. The novel is about the fact that greatness and despair have the same roots. That each of us risks inadvertently falling into bad weather and never escaping from there, because bad weather is a refuge and a trap, salvation and destruction, great consolation and eternal pain of life."
