"One of Us is Lying" is the debut teen thriller by writer Karen McManus. An exciting and fascinating novel has become a world bestseller, and in October 2021, an eight-part film adaptation of the novel was released on the Peacock service. A strict teacher, as punishment, left five high school students in the classroom after lessons, but only four left school alive: a round excellent student going to the Ivy League, the first beauty of the school who starred in a shampoo commercial, a rising baseball star and a young criminal on a correctional term. Each of them had their own reasons to kill the fifth - a school outcast who reveals the most unsightly secrets of his abusers on the Internet. But who went to the crime and decided to shut up Simon forever?
