Abstract to the book "Sovdetstvo. A book about the bright past. Collection"Polyakov Y. M.: This volume for the first time brings together all the short stories and novellas that make up the unique cycle "Childhood" by the famous Russian writer Yuri Polyakov, who fascinatingly tells about the early years of his life. The author surprisingly accurately conveys the atmosphere of Moscow in the 1960s, seen through the eyes of a child, lovingly restores the old way of life, subtly explores the customs and human relations of that time, he does the almost impossible - recreates the language spoken by our compatriots more than half a century ago. And although each work in the cycle has its own fascinating plot, collectively they all add up to a panoramic and poignant picture of the lost "bright past." "Sovdetstvo" is already being compared with such classic books as "Nikita's Childhood" by A. Tolstoy and "The Summer of the Lord" by I. Shmelev.
