The last days of February 2022 are the first days of a large — scale Russian invasion of Ukraine. Military intelligence officer Vlad Khmara performs tasks under the cover of a security guard of a residential complex in a strategically important area of Kiev. He is forced to hide the truth about himself from both work colleagues and new colleagues. However, everything changes when Khmara learns that an international terrorist, a Russian saboteur named Gyurza, has appeared in the capital besieged by the enemy. There are battles on the streets of Kiev, enemy tanks break into the City, Russian missiles fly, and air alarm sirens sound over and over again. If there is a major terrorist attack these days, it will demoralize the defenders. Only a cloud can thwart Gyurza's plan — changing the Hunter means wasting time. The hunt will not be easy: after all, there are "moles" in the special services, Vladova's favorite in the occupation near Kiev, less than a day before the terrorist attack, and where and when Gyurza will attack is unknown. A long curfew is being imposed in Kiev to eliminate saboteurs. The war timer is turned on, the countdown has started... "War timer" is a new cycle of military adventure thrillers from the master of the genre Andrey Kokotyukha.
