The collapse of the Russian Empire is one of the most important events of the XX century, and the fall of the monarchy is a key theme in the fate of our Fatherland, its history. What were the people who, by the will of circumstances, found themselves at the top at the time of the historical change of epochs? What moral, political and spiritual ideals and principles did they share? What were their historical capabilities and did they have them at all? These questions are all the more important because the role of the first figures in any authoritarian system, namely the Romanov monarchy, is incredibly great.
