Irina Roskina did not keep diaries or record conversations with those she was lucky enough to meet. However, the people she mentions in passing in her book are so significant that any preserved detail is interesting and dear to the reader: Anna Akhmatova, Nikolai Zabolotsky, Korney Chukovsky, Alexander Galich, Evgeny Rein and many others pass in front of us in a string, creating an image of time. Foreword by Hasan Huseynov Edited by Lena Berson
