Alexander Sergeyevich Griboyedov (1795-1829) was a Russian diplomat, poet, playwright, pianist and composer. A.S. Griboyedov gained worldwide fame with his comedy "Woe from Wit" (1822-1824). This play is a satire on the aristocratic Moscow society of the first half of the nineteenth century. The main conflict flares up between Chatsky, a representative of a new generation of nobles, and the Famusov society, in which it is customary to value not a person, but his rank and money.
