The author of the book, writer, culturologist, Doctor of Philology, is Pavel Korin's godson. He spent all his childhood and early youth years next to the great artist, therefore, he testifies with full certainty to the spiritual appearance and life vicissitudes of one of the pillars of classical Russian painting and culture of the XX century, who had to live in a difficult, contradictory Soviet time. All the dramatic collisions in the fate of the remarkable artist are told with the authenticity and penetration of a loved one, as well as with the involvement of archival materials and unique evidence, many of which are being introduced into scientific circulation for the first time. This historical and biographical publication is intended for a wide range of readers interested in Russian culture.
