Lev Regelson is a figure in some sense legendary here in any respect. His book "the Tragedy of the Russian Church", first published in the mid-70s of the XX century, long remained the main source of knowledge of all the Orthodox in Russia of their own history in 20—30th years. Book "the Tragedy of the Russian Church" covers the time period from the revolution to the end of the Second world war, when the Russian Orthodox Church was close to Stalin's throne.
