This book renews the poetry series "Selected Poetry", published in Paris by the YMCA-Press in the 1980s. At that time, poetry collections in the format of about 100 poems + a preface from the compiler gave readers the opportunity to quickly, but not superficially, get acquainted with the legacy of the classics — Georgy Ivanov, Nikolai Gumilev, Osip Mandelstam. And this is the fundamental difference between that book series and the one being started again. Since 2026, Selected Poetry will present the works of poets living today.
