Time elapsed time remains pained. Hans Keilson (1909-2011) began to write "the Death of my enemy" in 1941, having emigrated from Nazi Germany to the Netherlands. The first page of the manuscript he is really buried in the garden for fear of deportation. Printed in 1959, the novel became his main work. In 1962, Time magazine included him in the top ten most important books of the year along with the texts of Faulkner, Nabokov, Philip Roth, and Borges. The author has lived more than a century, keeping a sharp mind and sense of humor, and lived to global recognition.
