1892, Bombay. Captain Jim Agnihotri is recovering from an injury, he rereads stories about his idol, Sherlock Holmes, and looks through newspapers. His attention is attracted by the "crime of the century": two women fell from the university tower in broad daylight. The husband of one of the victims is sure that it was not suicide. Captain Jim takes over the investigation. But it is dangerous to ask questions in India. It seems that Captain Jim has stirred up the shadows that haunt the family of the deceased, and launched an ominous chain of events. Lady Diana Framji, the sister of the victims, joins his investigation, and it seems that Captain Jim's heart is now in danger.
