Boys don't keep a personal diary. Or are they leading?
Greg Haffley is in school, and his life is not easy. They call him to the blackboard exactly on the day when he... well, didn't finish something there. And at recess and after school, he is surrounded by tall, scary, angry high school students. The girls giggle over him and even notice a tiny pimple that jumped up behind his ear. No one understands how hard Greg's life is: neither his parents nor close friends.
When Greg Rowley's friend suddenly becomes popular, Greg tries to take advantage of his popularity and profit for himself. However, Greg, unwittingly, by his actions causes a chain of events, because of which the friendship of the boys will have to pass a test of strength.
