This book is a visual journey through the life of one of the most influential musicians of the 20th century. From post-war Liverpool to an apartment in New York's Dakota, from a street urchin who lost his mother to a symbol of an entire generation, John Lennon's story is told through rare photographs, song manuscripts, personal letters and archival materials. The pages of the publication bring to life key moments of his fate: the founding of the Beatles and the Beatlemania that swept the world; creative experiments and spiritual searches; a meeting with Yoko Ono that changed his life; protests against the Vietnam War; solo career and the legendary albums "Imagine" and "Plastic Ono Band". The book shows Lennon not only as a brilliant songwriter, but also as a complex, contradictory man — a dreamer, a rebel, a father, an artist. The publication is aimed at both Beatles fans and anyone interested in the history of music and culture of the 20th century. "Life is what happens to you while you're making other plans." (John Lennon)
