Olga Bergholz: Reconciliation with Life is a biography of the poet, whose name is inseparable from the memory of the siege of Leningrad, Soviet literature and the difficult experience of the 20th century. Oleg Trushin addresses not only the well-known image of the "voice of besieged Leningrad", but also the inner drama of a man who had to live among repression, loss, war and post-war contradictions. This is a story about civic duty, conscience, literary work and the price of honesty in an era when private destiny was constantly faced with time pressure. The biography is based on diaries, letters and archival materials, so the center here is not a monument, but a living person with a complex character, strong will and painful questions about his own life.
