The book by the famous Canadian-Ukrainian historian is dedicated to the participation of the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists (OUN) in anti-Jewish violence during the Second World War. Using a huge amount of documentary material, the author explores such issues as the zigzags of the OUN's attitude to the Jewish question, its programmatic attitudes, attitudes towards the occupation authorities in the early and late stages of the war, forms and methods of participation in terror, and the difference in the behavior of the OUN as an organization and its members as individuals. Special attention is paid to modern views on the OUN, the controversy surrounding its legacy and the prevailing historiographical myths. At the same time, the author constantly maintains objectivity and does not join any kind of mythologization of history in anyone's interests. J.-P.
