ILLEGAL CONSUMPTION OF NARCOTIC DRUGS, PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES, AND THEIR ANALOGUES IS HARMFUL TO HEALTH, AND THEIR ILLICIT TRAFFICKING IS PROHIBITED AND ENTAILS LIABILITY ESTABLISHED BY LAW.Vincenzo Latronico's novel “Perfection” is a witty and elegant work about a generation of millennials who are chasing an aesthetic ideal, and the quiet emptiness hiding behind a seemingly ideal life. Anna and Tom, a young expat couple in Berlin, have created a life for themselves that seems perfect from the outside. However, over time, their photogenic life begins to seem more and more monotonous and empty. Friends leave, work gets boring, relationships deteriorate, and even attempts to start over and change the scenery lead to nothing.…With ruthless precision and irony, Vincenzo Latronico explores issues of consumption, emigration, self-representation on social media, and the generation itself, torn between privilege and dissatisfaction, freedom and conformity. “Perfection” is both a satire on modern consumer society and a melancholic portrait of people who seek to control everything and lose the meaning of life in the process.
