"Sredi zvezd nas zhdet neizvestnoe!" - fraza Lema, stavshai͡a krylatoĭ, imeet oshchutimo gorʹkiĭ privkus razocharovanii͡a. Prot͡sess poznanii͡a neset v sebe i͡adovitoe i͡adro, i prisushchiĭ chelovechestvu gumanizm okazyvaetsi͡a bessilʹnym pri stolknovenii s chuzhdym inoplanetnym razumom na prekrasnoĭ i tainstvennoĭ planete Ėdem… Roman Stanislava Lema "Ėdem" - udivitelʹnyĭ splav dinamichnogo boevika, sot͡sialʹnoĭ dramy i zhestkoĭ antiutopii - mozhno smelo postavitʹ v odin ri͡ad s takimi klassicheskimi proizvedenii͡ami nauchnoĭ fantastiki, kak "451 gradus po Farengeĭtu" Rėi͡a Brėdberi i roman Dzhordzha Oruėlla "1984".

"The unknown awaits us among the stars!" – Lem's phrase, which has become famous, has a palpably bitter taste of disappointment. The process of cognition carries a poisonous core, and humanity's inherent humanism proves powerless when confronted with an alien alien intelligence on the beautiful and mysterious planet of Eden.… Stanislav Lem's novel "Eden" is an amazing fusion of dynamic action, social drama and harsh dystopia. It can be safely put on a par with such classic works of science fiction as Ray Bradbury's "Fahrenheit 451" and George Orwell's novel "1984".
